This is for you Abby, because I miss you… and Texas
I’m not anorexic. I’m from Texas. Are there people from Texas that are anorexic? I’ve never heard of one. And that includes me.

Many have heard the story of the crazy guy from greece who ran all the way from Marathon to Athens with the news of the Persian victory. So unnecessary! Am I right? The real story is a modern one. It is a story of blood, sweat, tears, public urination (oops! did I say that?), confused traffic workers, smelly socks, gross feet, creepy people in cars, complaining sessions, and finally, victory. I would tell you the story, but it would be a disorganized, uninteresting rambling. Instead, I urge you: LIVE the story.
Hordes of overly ambitious wannabes attempt to complete the (half) marathon, but few make it past the finish line. One must possess innumerable personal qualities in order to complete a half marathon. Some of these qualities include perseverance, athleticism, strong will, knowledge of ice-pack locations, impeccable hair, and sarcasm. So before you decide to take my advice, ask yourself: “Do I have all of these qualities? Am I doing it to brag to all my friends? Do I have a big ego?” If you answered yes to two or more of these questions, hit the ground running.

There is something about Valentine’s Day that pulls at the heart strings. Consistent romance is delusional. No one is completely happy in love. We fill our imaginations with poetry, songs and stories that preach the intrinsic freedom of romance.
But this is all fantasy. Courtship and commitment isn’t that way. Ultimately, love hurts more than it helps.
(mm-hmmm….)
Happy Valentine’s Day!
